As all VSC draperies are locally fabricated we work with you, the customer, to put in those design elements that are important to you. From clean, simple lines to elegant silks on elaborate drapery hardware, we have access to enough resources to overwhelm even the most tried and true shoppers. With over 200 fabric books to look through you can choose to locate the perfect fabric yourself, or use our decorating staff to help narrow the selection. The end result will be a one-of-a-kind drapery that is just right for your room.
Design Options
Choose from traditional Pinch Pleat, Rings, Loops, Grommets (or Pierced), our contemporary Inverted Pinch Pleat, and others. If you have a picture, we can strike off a design.
Traversing Systems
Cord traverse, hand traverse with a baton, or motorized.
Light Control
With any number of fabrics or linings, with or without sheers, you can control the light in a room, and also benefit from energy savings.
Specialty Hardware
Using Kirsch hardware for most basic applications or from a selection of rods, finials, brackets that have specialty color and finishes, custom hardware may also be available for those applications in which there is nothing “off the shelf”.
Rod Size Limitations
Minimum Rod 1/2″ to 3″ maximum. Lengths are virtually limitless, contingent only upon the appropriate mounting surface, and how it is to be pulled.
Ralph’s notes: Choosing the right fabric is critical for the proper end result. Custom draperies are not an inexpensive way to go but will provide an enduring look which will prove itself as an investment in your living area.
Custom Treatments
From wood or fabric cornice boards, valances and swags in contemporary or traditional styling, to stationary panels on decorative drapery hardware. VSC can design a treatment that can add an entirely new dimension to your room. Ask our decorating staff to help in fabric selection or to consult on a custom project.
Design Options
Custom Drapery or swing arm hardware with rings grommets or slides. Elegant or elaborate, understated or overstated. Use moderately priced linens fabric, or style-driven silks. Add trim, pillows, bedspreads or throw covers, all these options can be fabricated locally.
Specialty Hardware
1 3/8″, 2″, or 3″ Wood poles, ½”, ¾”, 1″ , 1 3/8″, 1 5/8″, 2″ or 3″ diameter metal rod with all the specialty brackets. Finials, or swag holders in over 30 finishes. Custom drapery hardware may need to be designed for a specific application, which we work with our suppliers to produce when the need arises.
